Forest Church

Every 1st Sunday of the month meeting at The Ark, Okewood Church, RG5 5QT

Forest Church7.jpeg

In partnership with Ewhurst Baptist Church, we would love you to join us on our adventure in the woods.
Each session’s focus is on connecting with God through nature as those of all ages explore aspects of our wonderful world - through all our senses - and reflect on what we might learn about ourselves and our creator.

Our Sunday afternoon sessions, in the woods at Oakwood Hill, are led by Stephanie Thorlby who works at Sayers Croft.  They typically run for 60 to 90 minutes and light refreshments are served at the end..

We have free play with lots of age appropriate toys and there is always a craft with sticking and colouring.  We provide a drink and a fruit snack, and tea and coffee for the adults.  Birthdays are celebrated and we always have a singing or story time at the end.

Our numbers are limited so contact the office to check before coming in to see us.

Glebe Coffee Morning
In the Glebe Centre, every Wednesday at 10.30 until 12.00

Our Coffee Morning in the Glebe Centre has been running for many, many years and it's still as popular now as ever.  Open to everyone, we regularly serve up to 30 people every week.

Transport can be arranged for those unable to get there on there own.

Here you can meet up with friends over a cup(or more) of coffee or tea together with a choice of delicious home-made cakes.  There is no charge but a donation of £1 - £2 is always welcome.  We are sometimes entertained by the children from the school and have also enjoyed several visits out to the local garden centre for morning coffee at no charge.

If you'd like to know more, contact Sally on 01483

Church Choir
Friday Night Choir 7.00pm to 8.30pm  St Peter & St Paul's Ewhurst

The choir is led by our Director of Music, Val Henry.

We sing in most Sunday morning services at Ewhurst and rehearse on Friday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

Depending on the service, we sing both traditional hymns and modern songs, enjoy carol singing in the community at Christmas and joining other events during the year.

We are always looking for new singers, whatever your experience, so come and give us a try.

Contact the Parish Office for more information.

Bell Ringing

Everyone is welcome, whatever your age, to come along to one of our practice sessions and have a go.

We're sure you'll enjoy it.

Grief Matters
The Bereavement Group

image.png

There are many times in our lives when we must journey through a time of change.  Sometimes we have chosen this, perhaps when we change our job, or move house.  However, when someone we love dies, the total change in our lives is thrust upon us and that can be hard to bear.

At the present time GM meets once a month on a Sunday for a bring and share lunch. We are usually a small group as many of our members move on as they feel stronger.  Many people retain the friends they have made in the group.  We sometimes go out for lunch but our regular meetings are in each other’s houses.

We have all suffered bereavement and find it mutually supportive to be with others.
We are open to change (possibly coffee on a weekly basis) if this seems appropriate.
